Detox Salad with Immunity Boosting Essential Oils


The second anyone starts getting sick in our house the On Guard essential oil comes out. Actually, let's be honest. It's always out because it smells amazing, it protects against environmental threats, it naturally boosts immunity, and since it's doTERRA, we are all able to consume it. Yummmm... (you can read a little bit more about this after the recipe)

Flax Oil: Amazing source of omega-3, lowers bad cholesterol, great for eye, heart, digestive, and skin health, boosts immune system

Apple Cider Vinegar: balances pH in the body, helps curb appetite and break down fat, lowers blood pressure, cholesterol, and inflammation, promotes healthy gut bacteria, and more

Cruciferous Vegetables: reduce inflammation, supports detoxification, protects the brain, stimulates immune response, and balances estrogen



9 cups of chopped organic vegetables (I used a combination of kale, brussels sprouts, broccoli, and green and red cabbage)

1 apple, chopped into bite size pieces

1/3 cup of sunflower seeds

2 drops of DoTERRA On Guard®

2 tbsp organic flax oil

juice of 1/2 lemon

3 tbsp apple cider vinegar


Mix all vegetables, apple, and sunflower seeds together in a large bowl. In a smaller bowl combine On Guard® essential oil, flax oil, lemon, and apple cider vinegar. Pour over vegetable mixture and toss to combine.
